Replacing Hinges on 3/8" Inset Cabinet doors

We have a house built in 1960 with the original kitchen cabinets. I am looking to replace the door hardware, but have run into a problem because the doors are 3/8" inset into the cabinet. I want to have concealed hingnes. There seem to be very few options, and the one I did find was $25 for each door. With 16 doors, this is very expensive. Any ideas for a less expensive option? The cabinets are solid wood and I am planning on painting them white, so filling in holes is not an issue.

Hello,

I have the same issue and was wondering if you solved the problem?

Thanks.
