removing spray paint from dry-wall

Gold spray-paint on white, dry-wall, walls. Is there a way to remove the gold paint? If so, how?

Not likely. Even if the gold spray paint is lacquer based....lacquer thinner would almost certainly eat the underlying white paint...whether oil-based or latex.

I think you're stuck repainting more white over the gold.

I'd use something like Kilz to cover it. It's a good primer. Really thick and should cover it in one coat.

Good Luck.

have you tried dry brushing the dust off the surface as it does tend to spread when wetted with a damp cloth
