removing a rusty heating pipe

i am replacing a 2feet 8 inch - 2inch iron rusty heating pipe that sprung a leak. so i can turn the heat on to the house. how do i go about doing this and what do i need to do it?

Re: removing a rusty heating pipe

If the pipe is in the middle of a run, cut it in half with a sazall and remove the two pieces. Install the male end of a male/female union into one side an get a new pipe the right length and put the female side on the pipe and install the pipe then connect the union together and tighten. If you can't find a male /female union get a standard female female union and two pieces of pipe to fit the opening.
