removing paneling from plaster

I'd like to remove wainscoat paneling from the plaster walls in my bathroom. It is nailed and glued up. I pulled a small piece of it down, but chunks of plaster came off where it was glued.

Is there a way to cut through the glue to remove the paneling and then work to remove the remaining glue from the plaster?

Re: removing paneling from plaster

No. The only choice you have is to remove the paneling, clean up the mess, scrape and clean the walls, mud the holes, prime and paint. A far less messier solution is simply to cover the current paneling with new drywall.
