Remodeled Load bearing wall?

I've got an older house (1920's) and in the basement one of the previous owners had remodeled adding a room. The basic rule for load bearing walls is if it's perpendicular to the joists it's load bearing but it is my belief that since this is new (and there appears to be a rather large and old header approx. 5 feet in front of it it shouldn't be a load bearing wall. I will include pictures shortly but would appreciate any advice. I am trying to knock this wall down and move it about 4 feet back to make my home theatre larger.

Yep --- pictures would help.

Link to pictures. Let me know if more would be helpful and I'll see what I can do.
