We live in a house that was a church previously built in 1915. The floors were not finished correctly, stained but no sealant. We are in the process of refinishing and are concerned that with the space between the existing plank flooring, there are places that have 1/8-1/4 spaces, these spaces will still exist. Our question is: will the sealant fill these spaces as we apply it? If not, please give us some suggestions.
Sealer will not fill the cracks. The traditional way to fill the cracks is by installing rope of an appropriate size. The rope can be stained to match the floor.
