Recommendation For Budget Laser Level

Hi,

I'm looking for a laser level for not much money. I really only need it for, as they show in the adverts, hanging a number of pictures evenly along a wall... or at an angle parallel to stairs.

Every once in a while, I may want to use it to place lights on a ceiling evenly.

I've seen models from $10 to $200.

I really just need it to be straight to 10-15 ft. And I don't need 'self-leveling' so long as the angle gizmo... or bubbles... are reasonably accurate.

I saw one from 'Strait-Line' that seemed to fit the bill.

Suggestions?

For what you want the level, you could get by the old fashioned level (less than $10 at most stores).

You just have to know how to use it efficiently.

if your willing to spend up to 200 buy the dewalt or bosch 5pt lasers. their the most accurate for their size and price .. both run about $150

Hi,

I was thinking less than $50.

I have been using a level.

For example, last week I was hanging some big 'ceiling clouds' 5' x 6' across and to make sure it was properly centered so I went through all the measuring on each corner up and down a ladder. Only after I was done did it occur to me that if I coulda projected a nice straight line across the ceiling, I coulda been done in a LOT less time.

Suggestions?

That's true for every tool you have.

Get quality tools whenever you can, especially those you use more frequently.
