rear outlet toilet & new mosaic tile floor

I have a rear outlet residential toilet in a condo built in the 1970's and have started to have mosaic tile flooring installed. The problem is now, the hole to the flange is 1/4" higher than the original. How do I fix this or is there an easier way to get the flaged moved? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you.
