quick-wiring on light switch

I have 2 questions about using the quick-wiring terminal on a lightswitch.

1) Is it made to be reused? I had two switches in one box and had to disconnect a wire from the quick-wire hole on one switch in order to replace the other switch. When I tried to replace the wire into the quick-wire hole, it wouldn't catch.

2) What's the preferred tool for inserting into the little slot to free the wire? I've always just used a tiny screwdriver but it seems there must be something better.

Re: quick-wiring on light switch

The prefered tool is a screwdriver, wrap the wires around the screw and tighten down. Stab connectors are dotorious  for bad connections and connection failure.
