Pull Out faucet won't pull out

I have a pull-out faucet that keeps getting stuck. It has nothing to do with the counter weight and the hose going back in. The hose is not getting stuck on anything under the sink. I think it is getting stuck at the point where it is going through the faucet itself. Any suggestions?

Look for a damaged hose and burrs where it passes through the faucet body.

Have you had a helper pull the spout while you're under the sink looking? If not, do so, as this will help determine the point of the problem. The hose could actually be catching on something under the sink, if so, see if you can twist the hose connection to change how and where the loop forms under the sink.

Is this a just installed faucet or one that has been installed for some time? If is new, something is not lining up or binding.

If the faucet is old, maybe it's time to replace it.

You may have minerals and sediments right there at the opening.

Anyway, new faucets are so inexpensive (not the exotic imported ones of course), that replacing is easy on any budget, at any budget.

It is not new...been there for 8-9 years.
