porch roof cross beams reattachment

dear all,

i have porch with a spanish tile roof. the cross beams have come disattached from the wall because of heat swelling and contraction. they were poorly attached in the first place when the house was built in the 1920's. now we've got the loose beams braced and want to move on to repairs, but our insurance co is claiming that the porch is not part of the house and that they will not cover faulty construction--despite the fact that the policy says clearly that they will.

ok, any idea how much it should cost in southern california to jack up the 4 sagging cross beams (3x3), attach the braces and realign the tiles? there are a few broken tiles, more will break i'm sure, but we've plenty and no need to buy those. and we could save costs by fitting them ourselves.
