Pocket Door Problems

Our home was recently rebuilt after the 04 hurricanes. Two of the four new pocket doors are troublesome. Both doors roll closed with absolutely no drag or tension therfore they bounce off the opposing frame. Is there a secret adjustment to slow these down and have some control?:

Thanks for the response. Re: your question...we don't have to make any effort at all to pull the door closed. A slight pull and it just whips closed, but bounces back. The are no rubber stoppers anywhere. One of the doors doesn't stay closed unless locked...it just slides right back into the pocket.

what that says is that your top rail isn't level. so basically it needs to come back apart and rehung

you might get away with taking the trim off and putting some shims between the top rail and the wood above since the open side is the high side. you would remove the door then the trim and add your shims

Ditto havana's comment regarding the top rail / header out of level.

If they have been doing this since day 1 .... they weren't installed properly ........... or if this just started recently then either something has caused the track or header to move out of level.
