Plumber Mentions Some Sort of Spray Foam Between Joist

Hi everyone I was recently talking to a plumber and we got on the topic of insulation. He mentioned there was a product on the market (a spray foam of some sort) that is just one canister (Typically spray foam has 2 from what I have seen). He said that you spray this foam into the joist (its about 1 inch thick and then you follow by placing your fiberglass batt insulation. He said its the best of both worlds and cheaper then doing complete spray foam.

I forgot to write the name of the product down.

Hi jkirk, thanks for the reply. Not sure that is it. He never mentioned rigid foam in the conversation. I am going to see if I can talk to him again. Sounded odd to me when he mentioned it.

Howdy spray foam the rim joist to seal it is great but not the floors joist cavities as if a water leak having the water trapped in the sub floor will make for rot and mold.... Another great choice is to install fiberglass batt into the joist to rim joist cavity and then plastic sealed with thee pricey tape to stop air infiltration.
