Hi,

One of the pipe in my craw basement is vibrated every time i use water. It's direct pipe from outside to my craw basement. One of the guy told me to have some hanger to hold the pipe tight. Any idea or recommend?

Thanks in advance :)

- Unsecured pipes will cause vibrations. Use strapping, clamps, hangers and insulation to make sure this doesn't happen. Code says a pipe must be tightly secure to the framing every so many feet.

- When a pipe goes through joists, it might bang on the hole. Insulation or a grommet can help.

- Certain pipes expand with hot water. These movements and vibrations do create audible noises, giving you the impression that the entire house is on the move.

If you are not sure what to do in your particular situation, do a search and find workable solutions. You can also get some advice from plumbers near you, after they inspect your home.
