The short answer is --- yes.

Use a high quality latex-based exteror paint or a linseed oil-based stain.

If the wood is newly installed wait a minimum of 90 days after installation to allow the wood to dry before applying stain/sealant or paint.
During the pressure treatment process, wood is injected with ACQ and becomes damp due to chemical treatment.

If this this is an existing structure, when applying paint or stain to pressure treated wood, make sure the boards are completely dry.
Brushing provides the best coverage. Be sure to brush all exposed wood and work the paint or stain into the end grain. If you spray, follow sprayer instructions especially regarding distance from wand to wood. Holding the wand too far away can result in inadequate coverage. Even when spraying, it is a good idea to use a brush on the cut ends and around joints.

Hopefully this helps.:)

Exactly and to the point.

I couldn't have said it better myself. My spelling wouldn't have been as good though.

I didn't realize we had any feline members on the forum. That looks exactly like my cat's typing.
