Painted steam radiators smell horrible - HELP!

My landlord painted the steam radiators in our apartment last spring before we moved in. He used Benjamin Moore Satin Impervo Enamel. When we turned the heat on in spring, the radiators smelled AWFUL, a really noxious, acrid, burning paint, chemical odor. We tried running them full blast in spring with the windows open, but they still smelled. Luckily summer arrived and we thought time would make the smell go away. But now it's autumn and we turned the heat on again, and they STILL smell! We're worried the smell is very harmful, and it gives me headaches. We've tried once again running them full blast with windows open, but no luck.

Some internet research has found that some people say the smell goes away in a couple of days, others in a couple of months.

Does anyone know if this smell is harmful, if the Benjamin Moore Satin Impervo Enamel was the correct paint, and what can be done?

Thank you!!!
