Original painted floor, can I save it?

I live in a 1750's home with a late 1830s addition. While stripping off the ugly silly putty colored high gloss latex paint the previous owner painted the bedroom floor I am uncovering what I believe is the original painted floors. Thus far the outer section is painted brown and the corner I have uncovered has pale blue, green and a cobalt/purplish color. I'd really like to some how conserve the original paint provided it's not something hideous. I am assuming the paint contains lead, is there some way to encapsulate it? I have been stripping the floor with a heat gun set under 900, wear a respirator and a hazmat suit. The room is sealed off from the other rooms.

Thanks!
