Order of Operations?

on the cusp of both having my house painted (exterior) as well as having the gutters completely replaced.

thinking of holding off on the painting until spring, but the gutters MUST be replaced pronto. is it truly dumb to replace the gutters first (this fall), then have the house painted in the spring?

Re: Order of Operations?

I'd say do the gutters first, then paint. Seamless gutters will come prepainted in various colors, one will likely work with your color scheme. Raw galvanized gutters will require paint, might as well have them up when the rest of the house is done. Removal of the existing gutters may leave patches of raw, unpainted siding or uncover dryrot damage, so waiting for new gutters is the better plan.
