old work hangars

I have been unable to locate joist hangars for rough sawn lumber. Old house with actual 2" joists not 1"3/4. Has anyone used these, where did you find them?

Best to ask the folks who make them.

There are a few options.

1. Have hangers fabricated and custom done for you.

2. Use wider hangers (for double joists) and fill the gap with plywood, then use longer nails to fasten them together.

3. Check Simpson LF209, or Simpson metric sizes.

If It were me, I'd choose #2. But check with your local bldg dept.

LVL hangers are good for 1 3/4". The inspectors in our area permit us to use full height 90* corner hangers wherever a u-shaped hanger won't work.
