I have the original (1957) Nutone kitchen fan over the stove.  It works fine and the damper on the outside works fine.  I really don't want to replace it, but it is very drafty.  Is there anyway to make it more resistant to drafts?  I called their customer service and they were not able to help.  They were not even able to tell me if the entire thing (fan, duct and damper) just snap together or if it has screws.  It is rusted a bit, so I really don't want to force it without knowing what to expect.  Thanks

Then live with the air leak.

Completely close it up.
