New to the Boards and a New Home Owner.

Hello everyone,

New to the forums and a recent home owner (march '12)

I'm a IT Professional by day, but an avid DIY Home improver by nights and weekends.

The Wife and I bought a Raised Ranch built in 1956 than needless to say needs ALOT of work. Roof, Siding, Windows, and a furnace are the major things on the list. But lucky I was able to have the Windows Completed before we moved in.

The entire house was wall papered when we bought it so I spent a month removing it all, Painted all the Ceilings, and all of the Interior Walls (and fixing them) plus managed a complete Bathroom remodel into the mix.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, and love to do things on my own if i can ( or I call for help when I'm in over my head)

Just wanted to say Hi :)

Welcome to the forum. If we can be of help feel free to ask, however remember the advice you get is from some guy on the internet. It shouldn't take long to figure out who is genuine.

Thanks JLMCDANIEL

I will spend hours on the internet, asking for advice and asking people in real life if I'm doing a particular project for the first time.

I actually learned how to Skim Coat Drywall off of TOH / Youtube in our master bedroom and it came out great! Now I see other areas in the house where I would like to do it, to get rid of the bumps and ridges and make it smooth.

Welcome to the forum.

Occasionally the big wheel of correct answers lands on the right spot. If my half vast knowledge isn't up to speed, I can send you to the guys (and gals) who can.

Where are the donuts?
