I posted a blog on the Bob Vila website and did not get any response from anyone but someone told me about this site to see if I can get a response.
I am looking for some professionals that have installed quite a few kitchen cabinets. I am on a limited budget but my wife and I are going to be redoing our kitchen. We have hired contractors for the plumbing and electrical but will be doing the cabinets ourselves along with other things. The main thing are the cabinets. We have ordered RTA cabinets and have put them all together and have things going forward. I have watched many videos as well as read many articles, and bought some books. Everything I have seen so far makes it seem like adjoining the cabinets together prior to installing them is sort of the biggest headache and can damage the cabinets if you don't either do it right or have the proper tools.
I have, through a friend of mine, heard about this new cabinet shim. I went on the website and watched the video and from what I see...it seems like a great thing to purchase to make the installation much more easier. All I am looking for is for someone that has experience with cabinet installs to let me know that purchasing these shims would definitely help out or not. The website shows they will be available shortly and have contacted the company. Just received an email back from them saying that the shims were just just completed and I can buy them hopefully this next week. I want to buy them but don't want to waste my money if someone feels it wouldn't be worth it.
Hope to hear back from someone. The website with the video on the shim is www.h4innovationsllc.com. Can someone please take a look?
Thank you in advance for your opinion.
