New H20 Softener Installed - one faucet now not working

I just installed a new Morton water softener in my 1972 home. Pipes are all copper. After installing according to the directions and turned the water back on i turned on all my faucets in the house. In the upstairs bathroom the shower works, toliet flushes and the tank fills but the faucet on the sink is not funtioning. The cold water has a thin trickle and nothing from the hot water side. The water looked dark/rusty initially in all the faucets but eventually cleared. It appears tiny bits of debris or sediment are trickling from the non-functioning faucet. Any ideas whats going on?
