Hello, looking for a little help with gutters
Can someone explain why my new gutters are dripping along the bottom front edge the length of the gutters? A professional gutter company installed then in April 2015. When its raining the water is running down the downspouts but there is a drip line of water along the 45 ft length in the flowerbed. Did they hang them too high or is the angle wrong? Should the bottom of the gutter be perpendicular to the wall or slightly angled downward?
Thanks,
Crystal

Tilt of the gutter really doesn't matter, as long as it slopes to the downspout, that is to say, the downspout should be the lowest point in the gutter so that it doesn't hold water.

As for water running down the face of the gutter, it is normal for rain to hit the top lip and face of the gutter, resulting in runs and drips along its length. If you've got steady streams of water, then it's time to check that the gutters and downspouts are clean and clear, if they are, then it is possible that there is a hole, leaking seam, or errant fastener that is the culprit.

Gutters can't corral 100% of the water, and some water will drip. The mounting of the gutter is important, as well as what type/profile roof you have, the roof size, the ANGLE the gutters are mounted, the width of the gutters and other factors.

Call the installer to discuss the situation, and if it's out of normal, request an adjustment.

Gutters can also get overloaded in torrential rain and get clogged with leaves or debris. Those little flowers and helicopters from maples can really travel quite a distance at times.
