New fixture not working

Replaced ceiling fixture for the heck of it, old one worked fine. Took out old one, connected new one same way as old one was. Same voltage, etc. When I turned power back on and flipped the switch, a quiet pop was heard, and the switch "got fried" (it was a lighted switch and went dark after the 'pop'), and the new light didn't go on. Since then, I have replaced the switch-still no light. I have double checked all connections, verified that light fixture, bulbs and wiring all work and are correct. I have tested every connection and the only thing that's odd, is that the wiring to the switch that went out, doesn't register any 'hot' wires. How is that possible?? These are 3 way switches. Any thoughts?? Also, the other switch in the circuit doesn't work (put in a new switch there also), but does have a 'hot' wire when tested.

Re: New fixture not working

I just replaced the switches and now it works just fine. Thanks!
