New entry door skewed

We just recently had a new full glass steel door entry system with right and left full sidelights installed in our 10 year old home. The bottom side of the door rubs against the threshold at the side of the threshold where the door opens, and when the door is pulled open it sticks to the threshold creating a twist in the door where the top of the door is away from the jam before the bottom is. The threshold and the hinges are not adjustable. The dealer that installed the door told us there is nothing that can be done about it. We're not sure where to go from here.
We have 2 questions: (1) Why is the new door skewed and the reveal not the same all around the door, was it not installed properly? (2) What solutions are there to remedy the problem?
We would appreciate any suggestions you have. Thank you, BUF

dependig on the style of the door, you might have an adjustable threshold. if you can see 4-6 large phillips head screws pointing downward those are for leveling the threshold against the bottom of the door. if you have a solid wooden threshold then i would call the contractor and tell him to fix the job he did.

thanks for your response. the threshold does not have the screws for adjustment and no adjustment in the hinges either. the dealer who installed the door told us that there is nothing they can do about it. we're unsure where to turn now. any additional advice you can give us would be apreciated.

Huh ?!?!?
Insist they come down to explain to you why this is happening and why they can't do anything about it.
Sounds to me it's either a poor installation or the the threshold disconnected from the jam/frame --- regardles there should be some type of warranty here.

Re: New entry door skewed

BUF,

If what you said about the dealer is true "there is nothing they can do about it"

Then call the manufacture of the door immediately. Tell them the door is defective and you want a representative out to your home ASAP to inspect it for a replacement door. If they ask who installed it, tell them, and further tell them the dealer refuses to service the door and that you want a representative of the door manufacture to inspect the door.

PUT pressure on the Dealer via the manufacture. Be tuff and don't let up.

I've installed exterior doors for two years exclusively and I'm telling you right now the dealer is being very deceptive about the poor installation of this door. Either way, poor installation or defective door it will be corrected. The reason you want the manufacture to inspect the door is they will determine if the door was properly installed.
