Need fresh air in my basement

I need to improve the air quality in the basement. My house is 6 yrs old before finishing my basement i installed a radon mitigation system. Now it is livable I moved my office down there and the kids play room. I have 800 sq ft. Opening window is too cold and too hot in summer as i live in Illinois. I don't have musty, moist, mold issues at all any inexpensive ideas Or solutions that won't break my budget. .? Thanks

Have your HVAC contractor add some ducts/vents to the basement. You may need to add a new intake down there with filter.

Look into having a HRV installed. They bring in fresh outside air and exhaust stale inside air. We installed one at the recommendation of one of the regulars here ( Canuk ) and works great improving the inside air quality.

there are units that exchange air and can also dehumidify which is useful in summer. i have not used or seen one, just the advertisements, so beware of exaggerated claims. i think they run about $1500 initial install investment.
