nailing T & G KDAT porch flooring

I have built a covered porch off the back of our house, about 15' to the deck off of the ground, which will ultimately be screened in and is about 400 sq ft in area.  I will install PT, Tongue & Groove, KDAT, flooring on a 2 x 12, 12" (on center). The material has been sealed all 6 sides (per mfg recommendation) plus 2 coats of finish.  In my younger days (45 yrs ago) worked for custom home bldr & installed thousands of feet of red oak unfinished flooring with slam nailer (didn't have pneumatic back in the day).  I don't have a nailer, don't really want to buy one, & was thinking of hand nailing each joint location.  I was thinking of using 8 p galvanized, or stainless steel finishing nails, or 2" cut galvanized or stainless steel nails, and possibly pre-drilling each tongue of the flooring (not floor joist).  Any thoughts / suggestions as to which would work better, or any other suggestions would be appreciated.  Can't seem to find individual cut nails (only those in strip for nail gun).  To me cut nails with flat side less likely to split, but with pre-drilling?  Thank you. ~ Paul

Have you considered renting a slam nailer?
