Mount Gazebo posts for a raised Gazebo

Hello,
I am about to build a Gazebo. The Gazebo has to be raised by 3feet. The frame of the Gazebo (see picture) will be raised with 4X4 or 6X6 by about 3'-4'.

My question is how can mount the 4X4 Gazebo posts on top of the frame. Should I mount it outside of the posts (like railing posts) or should I mount it on top of the 4X4 or 6X6 with strongtie post base?
Thanks, Alex

Debra
Re: Mount Gazebo posts for a raised Gazebo

Those thin extra lines on the drawing indicate to me that the posts on the gazebo continue from the section shown up to the roof.

So you lay out your plans, dig the footers, pour them, install bolts in the footers on which you set brackets to attach the very tall posts and then build the floor supports between them.

Thanks Debbysewn,

that was my first plan. But how would I mount the posts which continue to the roof, if I cannot mount with brackets to the footer? For example. I have to raise the gazebo and the tall posts to the roof will not be tall enough to reach the footer.
Thanks, Alex

Don't limit yourself to a 4x4 post cut to the height of the floor, make those posts a whole post from base to roof.

you attach the floor here

The post would actually be 12-15' long
