If you work on modular/mobile homes you know a water heater leak horror story. Our insurace is covering the costs after deductable for new walls, subfloor, trim, and resetting of the furnace/AC unit.
It's a mid 90's modular home with a gas furnace. The evaporator coil unit wasin rough shape when we moved in a decade ago. The quote to disconnect and re-seat the furnace unit was more than $2,000 excluding venting and electrical hookup. I was planning on replacing the evaporator coil but the cost just to have it moved has me wondering if we should just bite the bullet and replace the whole thing.
With the cost of doing this I thought seeking outside guidance would be prudent. And yes, we are getting a 2nd quote from a different business.
