Modular Addition with Existing Plans???

I have a 50's cape that we plan on turning into a cape colonial. We are basically ripping off the second floor and are starting from scratch. We already have the plans drawn up.

I am very interested in the modular additions. Could I take my existing plans that I have already had created and have a modular frame company build the second story addition that way?

Just a thought...

Re: Modular Addition with Existing Plans???

If you have a building permit and plans that are checked, approved and signed - you need to build what ever the plans specify.

That means that your builder can do prefab, as long as the building inspector finds it compatible to the plans, unless not allowed in your city. To find out, go to city hall and ask. It's free to ask.

Please send pictures of your building progress.
