MiterMate Looks Dangerous

I ran up on this Craftman Miter Saw by accident. Has anyone ever seen one ? It looks like it could be pretty dangerous, especially for the WeekEnd Warrior Novice.

Any thoughts.

i don't see what looks dangerous about it but i don't know how adaptable it is to different situations and different sized moldings. i do alot of finish work and i can't rationalize purchasing something like that. i believe a standard compound miter saw is all you'll need. also keep in mind i haven't done any research on that saw, i'm just going by a quick review of your link.

Looks like it would be a pain in the butt when cutting long material. When using roller stands for long material you would need to move them if you made a 90deg sg cut to a 45deg cut.

The saw might be able to make a true 45 deg or 67.5 miter cut. No other miter saw will rotate to 67.5 that I know of.

how many times are you going to make a 67.5 degree cut? i haven't made one in 10 years.
