Mexican Fan Palm Worries?

I recently purchased a home with different palms between the driveway and walkway leading to the front door. A landscaper told me that the mexican fan palm in the front was a bad idea because they grow so high. Any suggestions?

Re: Mexican Fan Palm Worries?

These palm trees are high maintenance. They grow so fast and must be trimmed, or they look bad and become a fire hazard (at least around here).

Long ago there was a company that was willing to come out and remove palm trees at no charge. But they has to be specific palm trees that they could easily sell.

If you're thinking about removing the tree, call some tree companies and do your own research.
