Lousy Floor Job

I had to have my hardwood floors replaced in my new condo. The building provided the new flooring and installation. I was told to leave for a few days while they installed the floor. I just returned and although the new floors feel more solid and the stain is the right color I'm noticing what looks like dust under the stain. I've even found 2 hairs under the stain. Do the floors have to be re-sanded and stained to remove all of the dirt under the stain? Could it be that they didn't bother to sand at all before staining? The flooring they used was a white oak.

Unfortunatly  that isn't something that can be done only in the problem areas. The only way to get out dirt or debris that is in the floor finish is to re-sand, re-stain and re-seal. It would not be a cheap process. I imagine they must have sanded before refinishing - otherwise there would likely be other issues but if the workers did not maintain a clean enviornment while the sealer was setting up / drying anything that floats into it or lands on it will get stuck like a bug in tree sap.
