Lining up peg holes for shelves

It may or may not be a well know tip but I found using a strip of peg board along a piece of wood makes it easier to equal out shelf peg holes when drilling them for pegs. Saves a little time measuring out each hole. When I built my cabinet , I cut a strip of peg board to size as the cabinet stands about 7 foot tall, took the peg board strip and layed it up against the wood accordingly, then drilled the holes I needed for the shelves,I reset and adjusted it to the opposite side and the holes are at the same height and the shelves are equal, this makes it easier to drill multiple holes also in case you want to adjust or set shelves at different heights for book shelves,,, John
