If I knew that this faucet was made for Home Depot with inferior materials I would not have bought it. I wrote down what the plumber, Rich, said, but cannot read a few of the words - "The supply lines provided with this that connect the hot and cold __to the spout fold over because they are so cheaply made and choke off the water supply causing barely any water to come out of the spout." Rich is highly respected in the Boston area so he is not the problem. He tried putting duct tape on the lines, but that didn't work. I wasted my time and the plumber's time. Rich said if they want to use inferior material to keep their costs low, they need to redesign this. I know you get what you pay for, but does anyone have any recommendations for another manufacturer that doesn't make inferior products for Home Depot or Lowes? Thanks!

You should have visited this site BEFORE buying the faucet you bought.

Check out the Delta collection (we are not paid by Delta to say that). If you find a faucet you like, you'll see what good quality looks like. Other brands to consider are Moen and Price Pfister.

A lot of faucets that you buy at the big box stores are made specially cheap for them, That is how the price is so low. I remember installing a faucet purchased at my plumbing whole seller at a customers house, when i went to remove the aerator during start up the aerator was glued in place. After calling the whole seller to complain i find out that they got the wrong shipment that was to be sent to a big box store. The faucet that big box store sell are plastic with glued in aerator, where as the faucet from the plumbing whole seller is brass with removable aerator. both look the same but one is cheaper by $12.

Find a plumbing showroom, possibly one run by a local plumbing company. They have to service what they sell, so they are less likely to sell junk.

If the showroom is attached to a plumbing supply house, then yes, if it's a boutique shop, not so much.

Kolher fixtures yes- good stuff. Kohler faucets NO. Delta or Moen for good faucets.

Pro's have to stand behind the products they install. Call-backs cost you all of the little bit of profit you made on a job so buy what the pro's buy where they buy it. I know plenty of Delta's and Moen's going strong 20 years since they were installed with little or no service needed.

For what it's worth, some Moen faucets are available with either plastic or brass cartridges. In most cases, the brass is far superior. In some types of corrosive or high mineral content water, the plastic cartridge may be preferable.
