Kitchen water pressure drops within 6 monts of every new faucet
homeone

Each time I get a new kitchen faucet, the water pressure is fine but within 6 months, it reduces to 1/3rd of the pressure. This has happened three times. Three separate plumbers have no explanation. The water pressure in the rest of the house is fine. I won't be able to fix this myself, but the community may help give me some ideas that I can provide to the next plumber. I'd rather not keep purchasing new kitchen faucets every 6 months and have them installed to keep my water pressure up.

1. Did any of these plumbers remove the aerator to check it?

2. Did any of these plumbers disconnect the hot and cold water connectors and test their water flow, using a bucket to catch the water?

3. Did any of these plumbers look at the angle stops?

4. What kind of pipes do have leading to the kitchen? galvanized by any chance?

#1 above sounds like a good place to start.

What is your water source? and what type of water pipe? I agree with #1

If your faucet has a pull-out handle, there is a screen where the hose attaches to the handle. Unscrew the handle and clean this screen.

Be careful, there are small parts that like to fall out and go down the drain.
