Kitchen Fluorescent problem

Hello,

This is my first post and I am in a bit of a panic:eek:. I have this fluorescent light in my kitchen, the main light I shall add, and during the day today it just stopped working. I thought it was the bulbs, so I went out and got all new ones and replaced them all. It still won't work. I checked the fuse box and it's good. This is my first house and I am learning as I fix things, which seem to be a constant in my life..Please help...Thanks!!!

Does your light have a starter it could be bad.
It could be a ballast Which is usually hidden under a plate.

It could be one of the lamp holders may be bad.

It could be your light switch. You need to see if you have power to the switch, power from the switch, and power at the light fixture. That would be the fist thing to check.

Or a possible poorly made connection in the fixture, as in the #12 or #14 supply wire and the smaller diameter ballast wire.:)
