Kitchen Faucet Banging

I have a 2 lever kitchen faucet that is less than 1 year old and recently when I turn on either hot or cold it starts banging like there is air in the line. I removed the strainer to make sure it was not cloged and even removed the faucet head and it was clear. It is really annoying, help. whan should I do next.

Re: Kitchen Faucet Banging

If it only happens when you shut the water off it would most likely be water hammer and there are a multitude of hammer arrestors on the market.

If it is a fluttering type banging while the water is on chances are you have a loose washer in the shut off valve or on the faucet.
