Is it possible to use vinyl siding as a roofing material?

I have a lot of vinyl siding left over from building my home. I am adding an attached roof over my deck. Is it possible to use the left over siding as a roofing material?

No, vinyl siding is decorative not weather proffing.

No, you can't, but don't let us stop you.

Seriously, left over materials should be saved, recycled, dumped or returned for store credit, but not used where they're not supposed to.

Thanks! I will most likely recycle it by using for siding on another project. Thank you for your responses.

Just for kicks I once built a small dog house almost entirely out of left-over vinyl-siding materials. It had a wood floor and the vinyl parts were secured with 1/2" button-head screws with R-Max 1/2" styrofoam inside to cover the screw points and to insulate it. It was weatherproof but not particularly sturdy. The dog liked it though!
