Interesting Roofing Style

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a question about my roof on a house I am recently buying. The roof is rigid insulation on top of beams with no sheathing in between the insulation and beams. The top of the roof is a rolled asphalt roof directly applied to the rigid insulation. How can I apply a new aphalt shingle roof over this?

The house is in southern Louisiana and is a Low slope roof in the ranch style, the house was built in 1967.

Please help me out!

Re: Interesting Roofing Style

Hi there! I dont know much about roofing but I think you may take the help from a contractor. The contractor will give you correct detailing about the roofing.
