insulating replacement windows

Is expanding spray-foam the best product to use around new replacement windows prior to installing interior stops?

Re: insulating replacement windows

It's much better than stuffing fiberglass insulation which doesn't work well in that situation.

The foam does 2 main things :

1- insulates

2- seals drafts

In some cases it will have slight advantage as an adhesive.

Just have to watch for which expansion rate is used ... too much of high expanding foam will push in the frames.
