We are restoring an old house on the coast of Maine. There are old clapboards on the outside which are in fairly good condition. We have stripped the old paint off and painted the exterior. Also we have stripped the old plaster and lathe inside ready to insulate. The old exterior boards are visible from the inside. Because of high wind and driving rain occasionally we see wet boards. Would it be a good idea to cover each bay with house wrap inside before placing the insulation. We thought this would prevent the insulation from getting wet and to cut down on air leaks. Because we kept the old clapboards we were unable to wrap the house on the exterior.
