I am moving into my grandparents old farmhouse - basically a log home with siding & no insulation. Propane heat is ineffective & costly out there. Any suggestions on the most cost effective way to attack this problem? Insulated panels? Wood stove?
We had our 1920 home insulated with blown in insulation for the walls and the contractor put "packets" of it under the floors and in the bays of the attic to surround the house in insulation. Really cut down on the drafty floors and also temperature of our interior walls.
Are you in Montana? or does the "mt" mean mountains?
