How to remove vintage plastic wall tiles?

Hello! My kitchen, dinning area and hallway are covered in yellow marbles plastic tiles. I need to get rid of them. The tiles come off easy enough but any tips for removing the adhesive? I have a scraper and a heat gun and it's ok but a ton of work. Just looking to see if there are any tips to make it easier.

Amanda,

There is no such thing as "Vintage Plastic". Actual stone or glass tiles are vintage.

You may try an electric plane. Or depending on what is behind the tile, remove that and replace it. It there is sheetrock, don't waste time or energy trying to clean it, just cut it out and replace it. Plaster is a totally different decision. Depending on what material you have, is what will depend you may use to remove the adhesive. Also, depends on what the adhesive is made with. True horse hoof adhesive is really strong. There again, depends on what is behind the adhesive. You cannot use a high quality stripper on sheetrock. Sheetrock has paper, and it will make a huge mess. Plaster on the other hand, you may use a high quality stripper and scrape it off.
