How to fix cracking/splitting floor

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all doing great!

I was curious if someone could help me figure out how to fix a crack in the floor that I am having in our home. My wife and I have noticed that a crack has slowly increased (since the beginning of summer) from a few inches to about 14 inches now. It seems to have stopped as well, so we think its stopped.

Below are a couple of pictures showing the problem. We first thought it was a crack, but we're not sure thats the exact problem and if theres a straightforward answer. We've tried using a Rust-Oleum Polyurethane Pen - but that wasn't a solution at all. Based on some research we think a glue of some type would help. Any suggestions/opinions and help in general would be great.

I bet your floors have been sanded almost all the way down to the tongues, and the tops of the grooves are beginning to split away, because they are cemented to the adjoining boards by poly, and have no strength left to stay together.
If that is incorrect, you just have a split piece of flooring, and it would need to have the crack filled with epoxy, or replaced and finished to match.

Would you happen to know what the best kind of epoxy would be for a job like this?

Any additional help with this would be wonderful, since I'm really trying to do this correctly :)
