I have an electric stove and from cooking over the years spillage onto the heating element has corroded it somewhat. When i cook the element smokes and I don't know what solution would be best to clean it with. Thanks,Tom.
The heating elements can be removed by pulling them out & then the drip pan can be cleaned or replaced. Any food or grease actually on the burner will burn off faily quickly. It sounds like you have a lot of buildup in the drip pan.
Thank you for your reply. No it's not the drip pans. They've been replaced. It's the actual heating element on the stove top. If you know what I could use to clean them please let me know.
