Hot Water Recirculating Pumps

Does anyone have experience with hot water recirculating pumps?

  • * Do they work as advertised?
  • * Positive, negatives, problems?
  • * Issues with softened water?
  • * Can anyone recommend a reliable manufacturer?

I'd appreciate any feedback or experiences anyone has had with them.

Thanks.
Mike

Re: Hot Water Recirculating Pumps

Assuming you mean a recirculating pump for household fixtures - not heating system. My parents built a new house a few years ago and had one installed. Works absolutely fantastic. It has a loop and the pump kicks on when the temperature in the pipe drops below a certain temp. Great green idea as well as you use less water. Not sure who manufactured it.

These guys are one of the best. I use these in most of the commercial buildings I commision and have good luck.
