Hot Water pressure

I have an oil furnace that provides my hot water and heat. When ever I use the hot water my water pressure goes down to about 1/2 of what the cold water pressure is. The furnace is only 10 years old and when it was new the pressure was good. Does any one know what could cause this and where I should start looking?

Thanks

Re: Hot Water pressure

I too have the same issue with an oil burner with a built in tankless coil for hot water. I have been told that this setup is very inefficient. This summer I plan on installing a separate holding tank for my hot water ( an indirect fired tank ). The boiler still heats the water, but it get stored in a 45-60 gallon, well insulated tank. Very efficient. I figured if I go with a 45 gallon unit the whole job will cost be about $500 bucks if I do it myself. 45 gallons should do. We are a family of 4. Good luck.
