Home From The 1920 Rafter Problem

MY FAMILY BOUGTH A HOME APROXIMATELLY 3 YEARS AGO ITS AN OLD BUNGALOW FROM LOS ANGELES WHERE THE FRAMING IS AS FOLLOWS 2X3 WALLS ACTUAL 2X3 AND 2X4 RAFTERS. AFTER DECIDING TO CHANGE THE ROOFING ON THE HOME WE FOUND OUT A LOT OF DRYROT AND DECIDED TO CUT THOSE AREAS AFFECTED. NOW WE WERE TRYING TO REPLEASE THE 2X4 RAFTERS BUT NOW ALL THEY SELL ARE THE 1.5 X 3.5. MY QUESTION IS WHERE CAN I FIND THE ACTUAL 2 X 4 LUMBER AND IF IM NOT ABLE TO FIND IT, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN MAKE UP FOR THE 1/2" WITH 1/2" PLYWOOD OVER THE AREA WHERE WE ARE REPLEASING THE RAFTERS:confused: THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. IM IN LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA AREA

Try a sawmill, you should be able to buy rough cut 2X4's.
